August Liz Log: |
|
8.30.04Sittin on somebody else's patio furniture, looking up at my apartment window, gabbing on my cell phone, enjoying the crisp, cool August weather...I mean Autumn weather...I mean both. I wonder if it's going to warm up again or if I can finally stop caring about how bad my pedicure is getting? Why do I suddenly feel like an LP Trixie? Why am I asking questions? |

8.21.04There are 2 ways to see the Chicago Air and Water Show. One way, depicted here...is to cosy up with several hundred thousand or your favorite neighbors and then bake in the sun while small children kick sand on you. I did that on Sunday. But on Saturday, thanks to my guy, I got to kick it in the Oracle VIP tent. We enjoyed catering, drinks and ice cream, reserved beach seating and it seemed that every plane was commanded to loop and bank directly in front of us. |
|
8.17.04On my way to Grant Park for Movies in the Park, I passed the Cloud Gate, aka the Bean. It was interesting to see it in relative peace. The rain kept most people out of the park this evening. My friends and I eventually did the same and viewed a movie in the apartment. |

8.15.04How long are you willing to wait for a bus? |
|
8.14.04Mmmmm Pankcake House. It was a pjs and pancakes kinda morning for my roommates and I. We struggled into ball caps and flipflops and made our way two blocks to pancake heaven. |
|
8.12.04Mmmmm burrito. Heather and I went to Chipotle. It felt very strange to be there without Jace...Chipotle devotee that he is. We then saw the movie The Door in the Floor with Jeff Bridges and Kim Basinger. It's based on part of a John Irving novel A Widow For One Year which I read a few years ago. |

8.9.04One. |

8.4.04Colleen and Kevin are expecting in early September. It's going to be a girl...
hopefully they aren't going to name her Bittersweet, despite how good the cake was.
