Happy New Year! This years new years eve festivities began with dinner at Sullivans. We had beautiful steaks and wine. Back at Andy's hacienda we sat out around the fire and then toasted in the new year with a bottle of Dom Perignon.

Spent some time with my family after Christmas. My big bro lives in Tucson, which is warmer than Chicago! We saw the Titan Missile Silo, toured Kartchner Caverns and went to the artist town of Bisbee, Arizona. Oh yeah, and I found some time to try on a few wedding dresses, weeeee!

Engaged!! Jace asked me to marry him tonight. I am so honored and excited to be looking forward to spending the rest of my life with the best person I have ever met. He makes me laugh and keeps me guessing. Some highlights of the evening: a fabulous 8 course dinner at Everest, a limosine tour of some of the places that have marked our 2 year dating history with thoughtfully written letters for each place and honestly, the most beautiful dazzling ring I've ever seen. It's a wonder I didn't faint.

Yippppeeee! I'm getting married!

This is a section of a Louis Comfort Tiffany window depicting the Chicago skyline. Navy Pier has a large and well displayed stained glass window collection that is free to the public. Just keep walking to the east past all the eateries and tourist shops.
