My church holds it's annual baptism in Lake Michigan. That's my friend Colleen on the right going into the water toward our pastor Jackson to be baptised. It was an exciting day!

Jace sent a huge boquet of flowers to me at work today. Some were flowers I've never seen before. I dubbed this one the 'War of the Worlds alien hand' flower. The flowers were so large on my desk that I was afraid they'd interfere with my work. People stopped by to ask if it was my birthday. I said no and so they asked what my husband had done wrong - haha. Nope, none of that. Just more proof that he loves me and likes to show it. Obviously I don't mind.

Proof that my husband loves me and likes to show it...a custom box of chocolates from Ethel's Chocolate Lounge. I was so excited when he planned a date for us that included Ethel's Chocolate Lounge at the end. The first parts were great too. We had tapas at Cafe Ba-Ba-Reba (stay away from the Ceviche) and then saw The Pain and the Itch at the Steppenwolf. The show was good...acting was good, there was laugh out loud humor...but the reality of the plot was pretty painful. It was a dark comedy indeed. All the more reason to end the night with some dark chocolates.
