5.30.04Yup, the city girl can ride a horse. I haven't always lived in Chicago...of course I should trade in the rock star sun glasses for a Stetson and don a pair of cowgirl boots if I really wanted to convince you all that I know what I'm doing up there. |

5.30.04Father and son. |

5.30.04Jace and I went back to Oklahoma again this year for Memorial Day weekend. We took another whirl on the carousel horses and even got in a ride on the real thing. |
|
5.27.04The girls came over for Vicky's lingerie shower. Even though we're a group of good Christian girls, we still managed to come up with a few things to make her blush. |

5.15.04Jace and I attended a wedding in Chicago. The reception location had fantastic views of the loop and the Chicago river. This is a flotilla. Thanks to Mary, I was able to impress the others with my knowledge of a "flotilla," a fleet of boats. We watched them raise the bridges as they headed out to Lake Michigan. |

5.9.04Downtown Portland features well known Powell's Books. The store is so large that it needs color coded sections. I needed a shopping cart. I picked up a book of art nouveau stained glass patterns and Jace grabbed a photography book. Yes, we are predictable. |

5.7.04I got a Where's George bill today in my change at lunch. I looked it up online and sadly, it hasn't been outside of Illinois.
I added an entry to say that I got this bill at Pizza Broker near Chicago's Board of Trade. Hopefully it will go places.

5.4.04New digs. Even closer to the park. Garrett is pleased. This is a view of the pond in the evening. |
